{"id":2909,"date":"2022-11-05T23:18:38","date_gmt":"2022-11-05T23:18:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wellingboroughecogroup.org.uk\/eco\/?page_id=2909"},"modified":"2022-11-05T23:18:38","modified_gmt":"2022-11-05T23:18:38","slug":"house-rules","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/wellingboroughecogroup.org.uk\/eco\/repair-cafe\/house-rules\/","title":{"rendered":"House Rules"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I declare that I have read the following house rules and agree to them before having an item fixed at Wellingborough Repair Cafe:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 The work carried out in the Repair Caf\u00e9 is performed free of charge on a voluntary basis by the repair experts at<br>hand.<br>\u2022 Visitors are encouraged to carry out the repairs themselves with help if it is safe to do so, but in some cases this<br>may not be possible and repair experts on site will carry out the repair if necessary.<br>\u2022 The fact that the repairs are being performed by unpaid volunteers reflects the allocation of risks and limitation o<br>liability: neither the organisers of the Repair Caf\u00e9 nor the repair experts are liable for any loss that may result from<br>advice or instructions concerning repairs, for the loss of items handed over for repair, for indirect or consequential<br>loss or for any other kind of loss resulting from work performed in the Repair Caf\u00e9. The limitations set forth in these<br>house rules shall not apply to claims declared justified on the basis of liability arising by virtue of applicable<br>consumer protection legislation which cannot be lawfully superseded.<br>\u2022 A voluntary donation is greatly appreciated.<br>\u2022 Visitors are responsible for providing any consumables such as leads, plugs, fuses, zips, etc. that may be needed to<br>fully complete a repair. Advice will be given on what is required.<br>\u2022 Any use of other new materials such as leads, plugs, fuses, patches or applications will be paid for separately.<br>\u2022 Visitors offering broken items for repair do so at their own risk.<br>\u2022 Experts making repairs offer no guarantee for the repairs carried out with their help and are not liable if objects<br>that are repaired in the Repair Caf\u00e9 turn out not to work properly at home.<br>\u2022 Repair experts are entitled to refuse to repair certain objects.<br>\u2022 Repair experts are not obliged to reassemble disassembled appliances that cannot be repaired.<br>\u2022 Visitors to Repair Caf\u00e9 are solely responsible for the tidy removal of broken objects that could not be repaired.<br>\u2022 To cut down on unnecessary waiting times during busy periods, a maximum of ONE broken item per person will be<br>examined.
