Thank you to the 22 litter heroes who took part in our Two Hour Tidy Up in and around a very sunny Newcomen Road Community Garden this morning. Together we picked 49 bags full of litter, a chair, a shopping trolley, three child car seats, a tyre and a mattress!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thank you to Rachel and Tim, Gwen and TK, Pretty and Victor, Trina and Peter, Sue, Gill and Bob, Jess, Judy, Niall and Wayan, John and Trisha, Freddie and Georgina, Emma, Billy and Jonathan. Well done all!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We set up with our Recycling Station at 9:30 in the Community Garden on Newcomen Road, for litter picking between 10 and 12. This was the first time we have litter picked this area. Members of Wellie Wombles and Wellingborough Eco Group also disappeared off in all directions also litter picking the surrounding streets!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Coffee and tea was served up by Co-op Member Pioneer Wellingborough for #FairtradeFortnight, and Georgina brought chocolate cake from Food Sharers which was enjoyed by all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next month\u2019s Two Hour Tidy Up will be on Saturday 26th March from 10 until 12 in the Town Centre for The Great British Spring Clean. Members of North Northants Council and Wellingborough Town Council will be joining us, we hope you will too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
