Wellingborough Eco Group, Wellie Wombles and Wellingborough Town Council
Today’s Two Hour Tidy Up in Wellingborough Town Centre is just a little bit special, not just because it’s the biggest litter pick of the year, it’s also being run in partnership with Wellingborough Town Council who are supplying us new kit and have added trails around the town centre.
Councillor Graham Lawman has asked for us to come to near the market superintendents hut in Orient way from 10am until midday, where there will be a gazebo set up for the distribution of maps that will be handed out for the routes that needed to be picked, equipment and bags will be also handed out. The Town Council have also asked that collected litter bags are brought back there as and when they are filled.
Wellie Wombles have organised coffee vouchers that will handed out to all litter pickers for either Castello Lounge or U G L Y M U G Cafés. We have been promised that the pickers and hoops will be handed over to our care at the end of the day at noon, along with some publicity pictures.
