Join us at this month’s Two Hour Tidy up this Saturday morning (28th January) we are litter picking Midland Road and into Castlefields Park. We will set up a recycling station on the corner of Brook Street East from 9:30 to litter pick between 10am-12 midday.
Midland Road is in a terrible state, litter is everywhere and leaves are making it treacherous! So we’ll have a go and removing both. Bring your rakes and shovels, this could be hard work!
For families and those wanting something less demanding, we have litter pickers and hoops for you, and our recycling station is where it is because it’s only a short safe walk to Castlefields Park.
This location has been chosen by local Town Councillor Marion Turner-Hawes (pictured above) who has had a go herself today, and will be joining us on Saturday. Here are some photos to get you in the mood, see you on Saturday morning…
