Thank you to the 15 litter heroes this morning who took part in our Two Hour Tidy Up of Stanwell Park. We picked 35 bags of litter, plus cleared 5 pallets, 2 TVs, a plastic barrier, 3 children’s scooters, a buggy, lots of cardboard and various items made of MDF.
This litter pick took place between 10 and 12 and our recycling station was at the top of the park’s cycle path just off of Wordsworth Road. As you can see there is a huge pile of rubbish. Under the new system of reporting, North Northamptonshire Council have been informed of this. Unfortunately due to this new system Wellingborough Norse could not collect it on the same day.
Thank you to Jessica, Emma, Jonathan and Bill, Mark, Suzanne and James, Judy, Allan, Glenn and Hazel, Jayne and Hannah, Niall and David. Great to see local residents, Mark and Allan, join us litter picking this area with us. Thank you also to other local residents who came out to say thank you to us for tidying up their local park.
The next Two Hour Tidy Up will take place on Saturday 31st July, location to be decided, join Wellingborough Eco Group and/or Wellie Wombles to find out more…
