Welcome to your environmentally friendly group in Wellingborough.

Wellingborough Eco Group has been set up to help improve our borough’s environment, to reduce, reuse and recycle items that would otherwise end up in landfill, and to help local people reduce their carbon footprints.

Wellingborough Eco Group is all about you and what we can all do environmentally locally in a friendly and positive way. This group is open to everyone and aims to work with local councillors, businesses and community organisations. We host various activities including Repair Cafes, Green Drinks, Swap Shops, Wellie Wombles and our monthly Two Hour Tidy Ups.

Membership – Join in!

Support the group officially by joining us! Membership is free and open to everyone. There are no requirements to join our group, all that we ask members to do is to is to agree to our Terms of Membership and to operate in accordance with the objectives and aims, as set out in the constitution of the group, at the group activities and in our social media groups. ECO HUB

ECO HUB, the new home for Wellingborough Eco Group! Open from 1st September 2022 and available 7 days a week at Glamis Hall in the Community Room for lots of events and activities. Supported by Greatwell Homes, North Northamptonshire Council, Co-op and Wellingborough Town Council, we have taken on this space to expand our projects and to introduce lots more activities, all focused on improving our environment and helping local people. Wellingborough Eco Map

Wellingborough Eco Map is a map and guide of environmentally friendly services available locally. Click on the map icons or cycle paths to find out more about them. All services featured on the map, and more, have a page on its dedicated website. They are arranged alphabetically under the heading ‘Services.’ Click on the links to read all about them, many also include short videos. The cycle paths that are featured are traffic free, no roads are included.

Wellingborough Climate Action Project

We are excited to let you know about a project in Wellingborough, that is being delivered by Glamis Hall for All, with the support of Wellingborough Eco Group and other community partners. The project’s main aim is to bring people, groups and businesses together from across Wellingborough to start working on many of the practical challenges facing us all related to the impacts of climate change in our community. Energy Savers

Wellingborough Eco Group has launched a community energy project called Energy Savers. This has been set up with the Centre for Sustainable Energy to help save energy and cut your bills. Supported by Glamis Hall and other community organisations, we offer free simple home energy advice in Northamptonshire via our dedicated website, energysavers.org.uk and at workshops and stalls.
