The Great Big Green Week

Here is a great big opportunity for you to find out all about the environment, and how it can be great to go green! Wellingborough Eco Group is running a whole week of activities to inspire you for the Great Big Green Week this year…

Wellingborough Eco Group has been set up to improve the borough’s environment, to reduce, reuse, repair and recycle items that would end up in landfill and to help local people reduce their carbon footprints. We do this in many ways and we have many of the projects we do on show during this busy week.

Saturday 8th June
Get something fixed

It all kicks of with our Repair Café on Saturday 8th June where we ask you what do you do with a toaster that no longer works? A faulty vacuum cleaner? A sweater with moth holes? Bin it? No way! Repair Café is repairing broken items together, getting advice, encounters and inspiration. Repair Café bookings are available now, go to the Repair Café page to book you broken item in.

We will be at The Hemmingwell Skills and Community Centre to join in with their Fun Day 12-6pm with mini Swap Shop and Replay games stalls, plus with information about Wellingborough Eco Group.
