Bassett’s Close Litter Pick and Fun Day

Thank you firstly to the 15 litter picking heroes that took part in our Two Hour Tidy Up and more today. We picked 16 bags of litter, a plank of wood and a broken scooter. Thank you also to Dave from North Northants Council collected the bags.

This Month’s group litter pick took place on this morning (Saturday 25th June) in Bassett’s Close at the Armed Forces Family Fun Day. We set up our Recycling Station and stall at 9:30 in the park and litter picked between 10 and 12. We litter picked the park and the surrounding streets. We also carried on litter picking through out the fun day until 4!

Thank you to Jonathan B, Judy, Tim and Rachel and Tim, Glen and Hazel, Freddie and Georgina, Jane and Ben, Jonathan H, Emma and Billy, plus thank you to Emma from Wellingborough Town Council and Emily for continuing to pick up litter in the afternoon. Great to see you all, well done!

Thank you also to Simon and Jonathan for running our games stall at the fun day. Simon’s giraffes were very popular with almost every child who attended having a go, our ping pong pots also had people engaged. Thank you to everyone who join in with us today and thank you to Royal British Legion – Wellingborough & District and Wellingborough Town Council for organising this enjoyable event!
